Glass 'Block Lamp' by Harri Koskinen

This is just a little side project - a sort of modelling study of Harri Koskinen's iconic 'Block Lamp' design.
I initially used a version of the model as a decorative feature in my 'Glass Block Caustics' bathroom scene . There were some problems with the model, so I decided to go back and re-model the lamp from scratch. Since it's such a great piece of design (it's now on my must-have list), I decided that I should create a render to showcase the model. There's nothing particularly special about the scene setup as I think that the design has enough character of it's own.
